1. Our Services

LocalServicesforyou.com is a lead generation and referral platform. We connect users ("Customers") with third-party service providers ("Pros") for home cleaning, handyman services, Chinese acupressure massage, financial education opportunities, and consultations on financial products such as IUL life insurance and annuities. We also provide appointment booking assistance through our operations staff.

We do not perform any of the services ourselves and are not a party to any agreement between Customers and Pros.

2. No Guarantee of Results

While we strive to connect you with reliable, pre-vetted local businesses, we do not guarantee:

  • The availability, quality, safety, or legality of any Pro's services.

  • The accuracy of any Pro's licensing, insurance, or credentials.

  • The outcome of any financial education or earning opportunity.

  • Specific earnings or financial results from any "Learn & Earn" program.

All financial consultations (including IUL and annuity recommendations) are provided by independent third-party agents. You should perform your own due diligence before purchasing any financial product.

3. California Consumer Disclosures

Under California Civil Code § 1789.3, you have the right to contact us with any complaints or questions. Our contact information is provided at the end of these Terms.

California Proposition 65 Warning: Some service providers (e.g., cleaning products, handyman materials) may use chemicals or products known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. It is your responsibility to inquire directly with the Pro about any potential exposures. We do not manufacture or control any products used by third-party Pros.

4. Customer Responsibilities

As a Customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information about your project or needs.

  • Communicate clearly with Pros once introduced.

  • Pay all agreed-upon fees directly to the Pro unless otherwise stated.

  • Not use our Site to harass, discriminate against, or defraud any Pro.

5. Pro (Service Provider) Responsibilities

As a Pro listing on our platform, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your business, licensing, insurance, and pricing.

  • Deliver services in a professional, lawful, and safe manner.

  • Honor all quotes and appointments booked through our operations staff.

  • Not engage in deceptive or predatory sales practices, especially regarding financial products.

  • Comply with all California state licensing requirements for your trade.

We reserve the right to remove any Pro who violates these Terms or receives verified negative customer feedback.

6. Our Booking Assistance

Our operations staff will attempt to book appointments on your behalf based on the information you provide. However:

  • We do not guarantee that a Pro will be available at your requested time.

  • You are responsible for confirming appointment details directly with the Pro.

  • We are not liable for missed appointments, cancellations, or scheduling errors.

7. "Learn & Earn" Opportunities

LocalServicesforyou.com refers users to third-party financial education and training programs. These programs may require separate applications, background checks, licensing exams, and fees. We do not control:

  • The curriculum, hiring decisions, or compensation structures of these programs.

  • Your success or failure in earning income.

Any income claims are examples only and not guarantees. California law requires us to state that past earnings do not guarantee future results.

8. Fees and Payments

  • For Customers: Our referral and booking assistance services are currently free. We do not charge you for finding a Pro or scheduling an appointment. Any fees paid to Pros are between you and the Pro.

  • For Pros: We may charge referral fees, membership fees, or success-based fees. These will be disclosed in a separate agreement.

  • For Financial Education Referrals: We may receive affiliate compensation from third-party training programs.

We reserve the right to change our fee structure with 30 days' notice.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, and the "Share. Match. Book." workflow — is the property of LocalServicesforyou.com and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, LocalServicesforyou.com and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Site.

  • Any dispute between you and a Pro.

  • Any loss, injury, or damage resulting from services provided by a Pro.

  • Any financial loss or missed earnings from "Learn & Earn" programs.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed $100.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LocalServicesforyou.com, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms.

  • Your use of a Pro's services.

  • Your participation in any "Learn & Earn" program.

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you.

  • Request deletion of your personal information.

  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not currently sell your data).

14. Termination

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Mateo County, California. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
